How to Choose Bulk Souvenirs

Just handing them out, yet surprisingly difficult.
The 3 criteria to avoid failure.

"What should I buy for the office souvenir...?"
You need a lot, preferences vary, and you don't want to mess it up.
Bulk souvenirs are actually the most difficult genre.

  • Individually wrapped → Mandatory
  • Around 20 pieces → Safe
(Prevents the risk of running short considering department size + spares)
  • Lightweight → Portability is important

1. Three Iron Rules for Office Souvenirs

  • Individually Packaged: No hassle of cutting or dividing, and easy for everyone to eat at their desk.
  • Long Shelf Life: Since some colleagues may be absent for a few days due to holidays or outings, the basic rule is something that lasts at least 1 to 2 weeks.
  • Doesn't Crumble Easily / No Sticky Fingers: The best items are those that can be eaten while operating a computer.

2. Recommended Bulk Sweets

For instance, at Tokyo Station, items like "Sugar Butter Tree" or "Tokyo Campanella" are standard because they come in large quantities and are lightweight.
Cookies and langues de chat can be said to be highly excellent formats.

3. Things to Avoid

  • Requires Refrigeration/Freezing (Refrigerator space problem)
  • Strong Smells (Difficult to open in the office)
  • Crumby/Powdery Snacks

4. [Gift] Office Souvenirs are Communication

The souvenir you bring to the workplace is not just handing out candy.
It is a report saying "I took some time off" or "I went on a trip," and
a "communication tool to lightly express gratitude."
